About BitSplit

BitSplit is an offline arcade game with a hacker-terminal look. Move a falling data block, align it above the target, and tap DROP to slice off the lower half and land it on the platform. Dodge red malware, grab power pills, and climb as high as you can before you run out of lives or mass.

The App requires no account, has no ads, and works fully offline.

How to Play

Controls

Action	Input
Move left / right	Arrow buttons (`<<` / `>>`) or on-screen joystick
Slice (DROP)	DROP button

Switch between joystick and arrow controls from the main menu (top-left button).

The block turns yellow when aligned above the dashed target line. It turns orange when you have used all available splits for the current block.

Splitting

You can make up to 2 splits per block.
The lower half flies down and must land on the target platform.
A successful landing adds to your score and spawns the next target higher up.
Missing the target or losing too much mass costs a life.

Power pills

Blue pill — super-jump (+1 score) and brief invulnerability (block glows blue).
Green pill — expands the current platform by 20% (up to +50% of its original width).

Hazards

Red malware falls from above. One hit costs a life — dodge it.
Platform burn — solid platforms shrink over time; land quickly.
Stay on screen; going off the edges ends your run.

Difficulty levels

Mode	Lives	Description
SECURE (easy)	5	Slower pace, no malware at start
WARNING (medium)	3	Standard challenge
CRITICAL (hard)	2	Faster start, fewer lives

SYS LEVEL rises as your score grows (at 20 and 40 points), increasing platform burn speed and malware spawns. At CRITICAL phase, target platforms may move sideways.

First launch

A short in-app tutorial runs the first time you pick a difficulty level. You can review the steps anytime by reinstalling the App or clearing its data (see below).

Settings

From the main menu:

Top-left — switch control scheme (joystick ↔ arrows).
Top-right — mute / unmute sound and music.

Your control preference and best scores per difficulty are saved locally on your device only.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does BitSplit need internet?
No. The game runs entirely offline.

Is there an account or cloud save?
No. High scores and settings are stored on your device only.

How do I reset my high scores?
Clear the App’s storage in your device settings, or uninstall and reinstall the App.

Why does Android list audio/microphone permissions?
BitSplit only plays sound effects and music. It does not record or access your microphone. Android may show audio-related permissions because of the playback library.

The game feels too quiet / loud.
Use the mute button on the main menu, or adjust your device volume.

I found a bug or the App crashes.
